Inspiration from the flea markets

Rugs have come a long way from the traditional looking rugs I remember seeing as a child. Back then I don’t think you would have been able to find anything other than the ones that look like those in the book of Aladdin. This rug is called Brocante de Salon by Atelier Blink and it features porcelain and dishes from a flea market.

This rug is definitely a standout, and even though we have come a long way from the traditional rug designs from the past, I still don’t think that this type of rug would be easily found in major stores here in Australia.

This rug is more proof that inspiration for your next masterpiece is lurking in the most unsuspecting places, such as the flea markets. Maybe this weekend we should all make an effort and go to a place that we haven’t been before and see what we can find…

Please visit the Atelier Blink website to find more.
